Association Bridging and Awards Ceremony

The Association Bridging and  Awards Ceremony will be held on June 3, 2011 at Washington Street School at 7pm.
  •   If you have girls who are going to the next level of scouts and would like to be part of this ceremony please rsvp to Denise at prplpooh@optonline.net.
  • If you have girls who are receiving their Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards please contact Denise Voda at prplpooh@optonline.net with the girls name, address and name of the award she's receiving. 
  • We are currently excepting nominations for Outstanding Leader, Outstanding Volunteer, Years of Service and Years of Tenure Pins.  Forms can be found on the GSNC.org website. 
Please think about nominating a parent who helps out in your troop or your own co leader.  Nominee must be a registered Girl Scout.
Outstanding Volunteer Award is for a volunteer in a position other than a leader who meets the following criteria:Outstanding Volunteer
  • Is currently registered as a Girl Scout Adult Member
  • Completes appropriate training or demonstrates ability / skills for the position
  • Perform at a level that exceeds the expectations of the position as outlined in the position description agreement in one of more of the following areas: Membership, Program, Fund Development, Pluralism, Marketing and Communications, Strategic Leadership / Governance, Human Resources
  • Actively recognize, understand and practice the value of inclusive behavior Nomination Form for Outstanding Leader & Volunteer Awards
Outstanding Leader Award is for a Troop Leader, Co-Leader, or Outstanding LeaderCoordinator for outstanding performance in working with girls and meets the following criteria:
  • Is currently  registered as a Girl Scout Adult Member
  • Demonstrates competence in at least two of the following;
  • Involving adults in the community to help broaden opportunities for girls
  • Increasing girl membership to support the council membership goal
  • Helping girls to recognize, understand, and practice the values of inclusive behavior
  • Building an effective Girl Led Leadership approach with girls

The following two Pins are not awarded by nomination. Each Leader / Volunteer should complete their own application and either send it in or drop it off at the front desk.
Year of Service
Volunteer Years of Service Pin - Recognizes an adult member registered with GSUSA for her /his years of active volunteer service at five year intervals 25 years and above at a Council Event.

Tenure Pin - Is awarded to a Registered Adult member for years in Tenure PinScouting including years as a Girl Scout and as an adult in 5 year intervals 25 years and above at a Council Event.
